Area boys take
tournament for
first time
It was the first time in over 20 years that the Clearbrook-Gonvick area ball team has won the Cadet League World Series.
They did it on the date that was named the First Annual Judy Engebretson Cadet League tournament.
Shown in the front row: Trey Goudge, Lucas Bakken, Carson Derby, Ryan Gerlofs, Gavin Solberg, Gunner Olson and Caleb Engebretson.
Back row: Coach Ben Goudge, Jeret Larson, Carver Kroulik, Wyatt Westrum, Grant Engen, Braxton Bjerke, Coach Alex Churness and Coach Noah Reimer.
The teams are made up of 11 to 13 year olds and teams come from a wide area to play in the tournament.
Last time the first place winner was the team from Fosston. Fertile-Beltrami was the second place team.
