“Save Your Receipts Promotion” Another Success for Summer Recreation

Six area businesses (Y92, Drive In, DaRoo’s, Bakken’s Market, Kandi’s Kitchen, NB & C) participated in a promotion this past summer to raise money for Summer Recreation. Customers saved their receipts from these stores during the months of June & July. Receipts were turned in and the businesses then made a donation to Summer Recreation. Pictured are business owners or representatives with Summer Recreation participants. Our appreciation goes to the customers who saved receipts and the businesses for their participation in this promotion.
The following groups or businesses also made donations to the Summer Recreation program: Leon, Holst and Sinclair Townships, Clearbrook American Legion, Clearbrook Community Club, Garden Valley, Otter Tail, Gonvick Lions, Gonvick Diamond Jubilee, Gonvick American Legion, Clearwater Trail Blazers, Gully Tri-Coop.
Our Summer Recreation program could not function without the support of these businesses and groups. These donations along with fundraisers supported by participants and their parents, participant fees, as well as some individual donations of time and money kept around 170 youngsters busy throughout the summer!
