TeenServe spends week in area

There was a TeenServe group in the area that was seen in many different towns and places this month.
A TeenServe Workcamp is a one-week mission trip for junior and senior high youth groups. Workcampers “work” during the day and “camp” at a school during the night. Teens and adult leaders join together to serve people in need, while experiencing life-changing evening programs.
Dayla Hammer of Sidney, Ohio stated that the group has worship service and Bible Study every night. There are over 100 volunteers. They were staying and eating at the Clearbrook-Gonvick school. They slept in sleeping bags in the classrooms.
There were six people for each crew with over 22 crews. They came from seven states. TeenServe is a division of Cross-Walk Ministries, Inc., a non-profit corporation in existence since 1985. TeenServe mission trips are life-changing for everyone who is involved, from the teen and adult participants to the residents of the communities who receive the free home improvements. The first TeenServe mission trip was held in 2000 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin with 186 participants.
There were several local youth that joined with TeenServe and worked the week in the area.
