Modern Woodmen donate to Sr. Center in Bagley

A donation of $500 was made recently by the local Modern Woodmen to the Bagley Sr. Citizen Center for the purpose of replacing old wooden cabinets with stainless steel cabinets.

The donation is part of the Modern Woodmen’s Good Neighbors Program, a nationwide program that gives Modern Woodmen chapters across the country $500 for hands-on repair and community beautification projects. Nearly 500 such projects benefit communities in the Unites States annually.

"As a member-based, fraternal organization, Modern Woodmen strives to give member families opportunities to volunteer and enhance their communities," said John Hellquist, local Modern Woodmen activities coordinator. "Our Good Neighbors Program does both."

Annually, Modern Woodmen and its members provide more than $23 million and nearly 1 million volunteer hours for community projects nationwide.
