Bettin comes to Clearbrook-Gonvick School

The Clearbrook-Gonvick School District has acquired a new teacher. James Bettin from Bemidji. Mr. Bettin recently graduated from Bemidji State University last May with a degree in Math Education. He will be teaching ninth grade Geometry in two sessions, Multi Media Production, Computer 7 and Marketing.

Mr. Bettin previously taught as a student teacher at the Clearbrook-Gonvick school last year. He worked with John Lavin and Gus Vettleson in the district.

His personal interests include hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and anything that is outside. He also has one brother and three nieces.

He lives north of Bemidji. He wanted to become a teacher because his grandfather was a teacher for 33 years at the Red Lake Elementary school. Mr. Bettin wishes to be involved with as much as he can through the school. He hopes to bring a positive environment for student learning and continue the family-like community feeling that the school has.
