40th Annual Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers show

 

August 21st to the 23rd will be the 40th Annual Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers show. The entrance to the grounds is on the north entrance of Itasca Park. Some daily events will include Parades every day at 1 p.m., Logging/lumbering Pageantry, Blacksmithing, Broom/Birdhouse/Sign Making, and much more! The show will be open 7 a.m. daily. They will also be having the 23rd Annual Hot-Air Engine Collectors Rally.

On Friday night they have a dinner at 5 p.m. accompanied by a Country Gospel Music show followed by the Pioneer King and Queen Coronation. Saturday morning breakfast starts at 7, and then at 2 p.m. they have the Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull followed by Dinner and Music at 5 p.m. Sunday is the last day of the Pioneer Farmers show. Breakfast starts early at 6:30-8:30 a.m. followed by a Worship Service at 9 a.m. After the Parade there will be the Old-Time Tractor Pull. During the Tractor Pull there will be a quilt and clock Raffle.

The Price of admission is $10 daily or 3-day passes are available also children under 12 are free. They also have primitive camping available by calling 218-266-3971. Be sure to visit the Schoolhouse, Church, Post Office, Country Shoppe, Log House, Elevator and the Photo Gallery in the Rickie Building. Fry Bread, Lefsa, Lemonade and Corn on the cob are a must to stop in and get while at the show.
