April 15 - In honor of America’s 250th Birthday, let’s take a look at our earlier years; America’s First Ladies Part 1.  Doug Ohman will return with this amazing walk back in time to learn things we may not know.  Bagley American Legion, April 15 @ 9:30, Doors open at 9:00am

April 15 - Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, Chapter 45, will host a Celebrate Life Event at 7:00 p.m. at the McIntosh Community Center, 115 Broadway St. NW, McIntosh, MN. The featured speaker will be Tim Mosser, presenting “I Came That They Might Have Life.”  A taco supper will be served at 6:00 p.m. prior to the event. The public is welcome to attend, and youth are especially encouraged to participate.

April 19 – Men’s Italian Supper at Samhold Lutheran Church from 5 to 7 pm. Fundraiser for Community Bible School.

April 19 – Clearwater County Volunteers Sheriffs Reserve Pancake Breakfast. It will be held at the Bagley Legion from 10:30 to 1:00 p.m. Silent Auction and Games. Fundraiser for the group.

April 19 – Handel’s Messiah with the famous hallelujah chorus will be presented at the Bagley High school Auditorium at 4:00p.m. Clearwater County Community Choir.

April 20 – Clearbrook-Gonvick school board meeting at 7:00 p.m.

April 21 – Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Citizens Center present April Musical Guests of John and Cindy Kingsbury at noon. Free to attend. Door prizes.

April 22 – Clearwater-Polk Electric 78th Annual meeting in the old Clearbrook School. Registration, entertainment and the meal will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m.

April 25 – Clearbrook Fire Department Fish Fry Fund Raiser.

Senior Transportation Service for Clearwater County residents who are 60 & over. Rides are scheduled Monday-Friday. 48-hour notice required. Call 218- 888-2320 to schedule. This project is made possible in part under the Federal Older Americans Act through an award from the Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging under an Area Plan approved by the Minnesota Board on Aging.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving vehicle permit fees at all 73 state parks and recreation areas. This Free Park Day is one of four days each year on which visitors don’t need a vehicle permit at state parks and recreation areas. The DNR offers one-free day in each season, giving Minnesotans an opportunity to experience the parks at different times of year.

Free days for Minnesota state parks and recreation areas in 2026 are:

  • Saturday, June 13
  • Friday, Nov. 27

Tidbits

RiverFest in Thief River Falls returns after two years. It will be held at Hartz Park at the Pennington County Fairgrounds. July 31 with local singers and songwriters at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 pm local band Drive will perform. Saturday, August 1 will have three bands including: Kenny & The Classics, The Silver Mullet Band and Free Fallin. There will be other events going on as well.

Red Lake Hotel, Casino and Water Park at Thief River Falls renovation project is now complete. The cost was almost $7 million for the upgrades to the infrastructure and other areas of the water park, dining and bar offerings.
