Chargers volleyball successful in Warren

The first volleyball game of the season had the Chargers traveling to Warren last Thursday. Game results: Varsity won, JV won, C won, 7-8 Blue won, 7-8 Gold lost

Varsity Stats:

Chloe Kuznia: 4 aces, 5 digs, 28 assists, 3 kills; Caitlyn Jacobson: 5 aces, 4 digs, 10 kills, 2 blocks; Vivian Coan: 7 digs, 10 kills, 1 block; Madi Paulson: 1 dig, 4 kills, 1 block; Madi Cullen: 1 ace, 12 digs, 3 assists; Hailey Knutson: 3 aces, 3 digs, 1 block; Sadie Anderson: 3 kills; Mya Anderson: 1 ace

Coach Brenna Dallager commented, “The girls have been working really hard in practice all summer and the last few weeks, it was nice to see everyone show up and compete. They all played great, and it was a lot of fun for me as a coach to get to see them compete again after having such a long time off and they were having a lot of fun out there together. We still have a few small things to fix, but I think it’s going to be a fun season!”

Head Coach Kate Tharaladson said, “I agree. This year the team really meshes well together and I think a lot of that comes from the 5 seniors. They are really setting a great example of showing what it looks like to have that drive to compete but also have fun with it.”

MSHSL has updated their rules to include spectators at the volleyball games. However, each player is limited to 2 attendees within their family.

This week’s VB schedule:

The only game this week is on the home court in Grygla on Tuesday, October 13th vs. Warroad. Results will be shared in next week’s paper. 

On Wednesday, Junior High will practice in Grygla after school; JV/V will practice in Goodridge. For Thursday, Junior High will practice in Grygla from 4-6:15pm with JV/V in Goodridge at that same time. Busses will leave each school at 3:30pm. Friday’s practice will be in the morning with Junior High in Grygla from 7-9:30am and JV/V in Goodridge at that same time. Busses will leave the each school at 6:30am.
