Chargers overwhelmed by Cougars

The Junior High Chargers Football team played BGMR in Greenbush on Monday, August 31st. The team suffered a big loss atg 64-0. (The two photos were submitted by Jennifer Arveson, Goodridge.) The Varsity football team endured a similar loss, playing Ada-Borup on Thursday, September 3rd in Goodridge. The Ada-Borup Cougars bounced the Goodridge/Grygla Chargers by a count of 55-0. Head Coach John Wilebski states, “We had some kids out with injuries/ineligibilites from the week before and had a lot of younger kids out there. Those aren’t excuses because we played very poorly as well, but we knew going in that it’d be a tough task.” He did add, though, “Lucian Tinnes really played well individually – on both sides of the ball. He never quit considering the score, which was nice to see!”
Stats from the AB-GG Varsity game: Blaine Kriel 14-41 yds rushing. Jesse Wiseth 1-43 yds rushing. Defensively Caleb Olson had 9 tackles.
