RLCC Honors Retiree and Friends of Education

Red Lake County Central Schools honored their Retiree, Susan Lee, and their Friends of Education on May 5, 2015, at the Kramer Brown program in Thief River Falls. Susan Lee was honored for her many years of teaching as a Speech teacher, School Readiness, and ECFE teacher. Susan has worked in many areas of the school, served on the Kramer Brown board, and was a past RLCCEA Co-President. She did the work of several people, and will be hard to replace! She is a very caring and outstanding teacher who will be very missed!
Friend of Education Buzz Wilson (volunteer) has helped with the School Reading (Preschool) class at the Plummer building each week. He assisted the children with working on table activities, building projects and day to day classroom activities. All of the children look forward to seeing him each week.
Friend of Education Kippy Thomas (parent volunteer) planned and coordinated a fund raiser for the Accelerated Reader program. She helped raise $586 which was used to buy incentives for students on the school “Reading Wall of Fame.” Some of the money also helped pay for the cost of an AR Bowling field trip. Kippy held a bake sale for the Elementary Basketball program, and the funds were used to help pay for the cost of uniforms, awards, and water bottles.
Shirley and Vincent Dessellier have been gracious and generous to give Vincent and Shirley Dessellier Scholarships towards deserving RLCC senior graduates. This is a wonderful gift to invest in the future education of students who graduate from RLCC.
 RLCC is so thankful and appreciative for the time invested and donations that these Retirees and Friends of Education have given to RLCC Schools!
