Services for Lois Mae Rolf Gulbranson
Lois Mae Rolf Gulbranson, age 78, of Concordia, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. A memorial service was held December 18, 2015 at Good Shepherd Chapel in Concordia, MO.
Lois Mae Rolf was born at home on the family farm in McIntosh, MN on May 8, 1937 to parents William and Alice (Mjovig) Rolf. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended country school at Foot Lake and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1955. She attended nursing school in Crookston, MN and spent her working career as an LPN.
She married Ralph Gulbranson on October 25, 1958. They had three children. The family lived in many different towns to accommodate Ralph's job. Lois always found a nursing home or hospital where she could work.
Ralph passed away July 15, 2005 while they were living in Barron, Wisconsin. After his death, Lois moved to Concordia, MO to be near her niece and niece's family.
Lois passed away after a long struggle with many health issues. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, as well as four brothers and two sisters.
Lois is survived by her three children: Lydell, Concordia, MO; Mar, Chippewa Falls, WI; and Sheila (Dennis) Bungartz, and granddaughter, Sydney, Rice Lake, WI. She is also survived by brothers, Lawrence (Lenore) Rolf, Cypress, CA; Roger (Eva) Rolf, McIntosh, MN; Marvin (Barbara) Rolf, McIntosh, MN; and sister DeLaine Oppegaard, Fosston, MN.
