Services for John "Jerry" Berg

Uff da, this guy is gonna be missed.
Raise your coffee cup to the kindest of men!!!
John Gerald "Jerry" Berg was born at home in Alvarado, MN in 1939, and surprised everyone by passing quickly on Sept. 3, 2022. Dad is Up North now.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John Everett Berg and Gladys Irene Berg (Trail, MN); sister Jean Frisk; and wife Laura.
He was a Marine and a retired pressman at the Star Tribune newspaper.
He is survived by...broken hearts. He will be missed at hockey rinks, hunting trips, lutefisk dinners, golf courses, pool tables (sorry if he owed you money), in backyards, front yards, on pontoons, at the Trail Hilton. He will be missed by his adored sister Judy, brother Jimmy and their families. Missed by cousins, nephews, and nieces. Missed by his girlfriend Diane Fuglestad, who brought joy into his life these past eight years. Missed by a whole block of wonderful neighbors. Missed by former coworkers and many, many good friends of all ages (Zoe) and species (Matt the Cat, squirrels, crows, crappies, blue jays). And especially by his two rug rats: son Jack (Paula) and daughter Nicole. Dad will live on in all of you and for that we are grateful.
A gathering will be forthcoming, so if you have stories like the time his hunting buddies switched the apple in his apple crisp for a chunk of potato, please get them ready.
And if you never met him, I'm sorry, he probably would've got a kick out of you.
