Services for Bob Lee

Bob Lee, age 88, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Monday, October 28th, at Essentia Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1st, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Rene Mehlberg officiating. Interment will be in Kingo Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.  Robert John Lee was born on October 28, 1936, in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Halvor and Hulda (Kompelien) Lee. He grew up on the farm and attended country school at Fairview School No. 282. He graduated from Fosston High School in 1954. He worked road construction in the summer for two years in Hogeland, Montana. Then, in 1958, he went to work for Flaskerud Farms for the next 40 years and was on the Fosston Police Reserve from 1970 – 1972. He retired partly in 1998. Bob then worked for Landsverk Dairy for 23 years. He also ran snowplow and blade for 54 years. He married Audrey Ekeberg in 1959. Bob later married Lorraine (Johnson) Nornes who had four children.
 Bob was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Bob loved to visit with people and had a good sense of humor. He was always a kind and caring person. He loved to talk about farming and enjoyed rolling dice and drinking coffee with the guys at the Cenex. When he lived at his home in McIntosh, he would love to sit on the front porch and wave to everyone that drove by and enjoyed the visits of those who stopped by. He was currently living at Poplar Meadows Assisted Living in McIntosh where he enjoyed all the people there. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.
 Bob passed away peacefully on his birthday, Monday, October 28, 2024 at the age of 88 years.
 He is survived by his son, Mike Lee of Mentor, MN; step children, Bruce Nornes of Big Sugar Bush Lake, MN, Gail (Steve) Knudson of Big Sugar Bush Lake, MN, and Mary Beth (Brian) Espeseth of Thief River Falls, MN; eleven grandchildren, Trevor, Brooke, Garrett, Rachel, Nick, Leah, Tyler, Missy, Jason, Ben, and Jordan; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving cat, Tiki.
 He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Lorraine; daughter, Lynette; step son, Lynn Nornes; and two brothers, Marvin and Francis.
