RLCC Students of the Month

The Red Lake County Central High School recognized two students who were selected as the Students of the Month for February. They were Annika Senum and Maddie Inda-Valdez.
The February Senior High Student of the Month was nominated by Mr. Randy Huie. He nominated Annika Senum for working hard and being great at her four squares and essays in his American History class. Huie commented, “She is very polite and a respectful student and she has excelled in her first year at RLCC H.S. as a transfer student.” Kristie Olson one of the para’s said, “Annika thanks her for cleaning up the lunch room area after lunch which is much appreciated.” 
Senum is in 10th grade and is 15 years old. She is the daughter of Heidi Fehlhaber and Richard Fehlhaber and her five siblings are Andrew Senum, Lisa Senum, Linnea Senum, Mary Ellen Senum, and Logan Ellingson. Senum is involved in golf and drama in Thief River Falls. She enjoys reading, texting and Facetiming her boyfriend.
Madeline Inda-Valdez received the February Junior High Student of the Month. Inda-Valdez is a 15 year old ninth grader and is the daughter of Maria Valdez and Eduardo Inda-Lopez. She has two siblings, Hector Inda-Valdez and Edwin Inda-Valdez. She is involved in basketball and her favorite thing to do in her free time is going on walks and seeing her cows and cats.
Inda-Valdez was selected by Ms. Jeri McDonald. McDonald commented, “Maddie is someone who brings a great energy to class. She always manages to put a smile on everyone’s face with her charisma and stories. She treats her classmates and teacher with respect, and always works hard in class.”
