Plan on attending the Festival of Tables on October 26th in Brooks

The successful Festival of Tables in Red Lake County will be held on Saturday, October 26th at the Brooks Community Hall.  This fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society is being celebrated for the 4th year, and once again promises to be a fun and inspiring afternoon with a silent auction, meal and entertainment. Doors will open at 11:00 am to allow guests to purchase tickets for the silent auction and check out the auction items. Each year the silent auction includes a collection of wonderful items donated by local and area contributors. Tables will be decorated by hosts with a theme chosen by the host, and guests will have time to look at the variety of table themes, which once again promise to be very creative!  The meal, which includes a menu prepared by each host, will begin at noon.  Suggested donation for the meal is $10.00 and checks should be written to American Cancer Society.
This year there are 11 hosts who have volunteered to host a table and prepare a meal for their guests. The hosts from Red Lake Falls include co-hosts Sandy Bertilrud and DeeAnn Leines, and from Plummer, co-hosts Deb DuChamp and Marci Kloety.   Brooks has hosts Carol Chaput and co-hosts Dianne Gagner and Karen Delage. Hosts from Oklee are Barb Melby, Phyllis Melby, co-hosts Tracy Hamm and Kim Olson, Ginny Stoneouse, co-hosts Deb Vettleson and Talia Mitzner, Mary Lynn Bachand, and co-hosts Rhonda Vettleson and Miranda Vettleson.
Saturday, October 26th, promises to be a day to celebrate and honor those who have faced cancer.  Please contact any of the hosts if you are interested in attending this meaningful event. If you are interested in hosting a table or helping with this fundraiser, please contact Barb Melby 218-796-5727.  Money raised for the American Cancer Society funds research, education, advocacy and services.  Support from the American Cancer Society is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by going to www.cancer.org or by calling 1-800-227-2345.
