A night of music at the RLCC High Spring Concert

The Red Lake County Central band and choir held their annual Spring Concert on April 4th at the RLCC High School Gym. The concert directed by Mrs. Patty Mickelson had an amazing turnout and the students did a great job with their performances.
The concert started out with the senior high trumpet ensemble as they performed “God of our Fathers” by George W. Warren. Following that performance was junior high band who played three numbers including “Night Hawk” which featured the trumpets. Senior high band played three songs and senior Tom Nelson played a drum solo. The combined bands played “Centuries.” Taya Morinville and Peggy Miller also performed a piano duet. 
After the duet the Junior High Choir performed songs including a solo group featuring Jamie Flatgard, Lily Hager, Nakeisha McGraw, and Bella Morinville. During “Lion Sleeps Tonight,” Kya Morinville and Aurora Mitzner played hand drums.    
Next was the Senior High Choir singing several songs and some groups also sang. Ensemble members Adriel Bakken, Brody Moen, Kia Bachand, Brock Tvedt, Emily Kolstoe, Karena Melby, Janae Olson, Taya Morinville, Cari Bachand, Katelyn Suchy, Bailey Culkins, and Bella Russillo sang “California Dreamin’.” Adrianne Jones and Abby Walton performed a duet “Till the Stars Fall from the Sky.”  Juniors Kaitlyn Morris, Madison Carlson, Abby Walton, Allison Aakhus, Sidney Olson, Tanisha Srnsky, Adrianne Jones, Lily Guillmette, Calyssa Eskeli, and Jayden Iverson sang “One Moment in Time.”
 To wrap up the concert, the combined choirs sang “A Million Dreams.” It featured soloist Phillip Sorenson and was accompanied by guitarists Adriel Bakken and Taya Morinville.
