Mustangs beat Thunderbirds - Junior Kia Bachand scored 1000 points

The Mustangs faced off against the Mahnomen-Waubun Thunderbirds in Waubun on Tuesday February 18th. The Mustangs started off hot but the thunderbirds answered right back. The half time score was 32-32. The Mustangs would gain a lead in the start of the second half and would go back and forth but end up winning 61-57. The leading scorers for the Mustangs were Jenna Pahlen with 20 points, Cari Bachand with 14 points and Kia Bachand with 14 points as well. The Mustangs with that win are now 19-5 and finish their regular season against EGF Green Wave in Plummer on February 20th. Also congratulations to Junior Kia Bachand for scoring her 1,000th point in this game.
