Jelle selected to visit Washington, D.C.

Garden Valley Technologies will be sponsoring two students to attend the NTCA Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Youth Tour. Two high school students, age 16 or 17 at the time of the tour, and who receive services from Garden Valley, were eligible to win an expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., for this FRS Youth Tour.
Among the students selected is Layla Jelle, of Grygla, daughter of Mike and Shonda Jelle. To apply, she had to submit an essay-style letter explaining why she would be interested in attending and why she should be chosen to represent GVT. Finding out she was selected, Layla shared, “I am so excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity!”
Jelle will join the FRS Youth Tour in D.C. on June 1-5, 2019. The Youth Tour introduces the students to the telecommunications industry within a legislative context.
The two students chosen to represent the cooperative will be expected to visit Garden Valley in Erskine prior to their trip, and provide a photo and report following their trip.
