Grygla Fire and Rescue prepare for annual supper this Sunday

The annual Firemen’s Supper will be held this Sunday, April 3rd, at the Grygla Community Center, from 4-7pm. The local fire and rescue department has set up a menu that includes roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, coleslaw and corn. The cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids under 12. It’s “all you can eat”, so bring your healthy appetites. Door prize drawings will take place at 7pm.
During the past year, the fire department has responded to 73 calls. This included 9 wildland/grass fires, 1 vehicle fire, 5 structure fires, 10 fire/CO2 alarm/service calls, 5 auto accidents and 43 medical calls.
Kelly Klein has retired from the Fire and Rescue Squad this year, and tragically, the crew lost one of their captains this winter with the passing of Keith Lorentzen.
With your generous donations and support of individuals, business, service clubs and civic organizations, Grygla Fire & Rescue has been able to make improvements to their equipment, attend trainings, and maintain the fire hall.
The Grygla Fire Department serves 6 townships in Marshall County, 8 townships in Beltrami County, and provides mutual aid (when requested) to the surrounding departments in Goodridge, Middle River and Roseau.
Make sure to clear your calendars this Sunday evening and let the firemen fill you up with a delicious supper!
