Firemen's Blizzard Bonanza Feb. 29th

This annual event is very well attended and I'm sure everyone is making their plans once again to attend this fun evening of great food and entertainment. Along with that is many raffles for a variety of meats, guns and possible other items. 

Entertainment this year will start with the famous Detroit Lakes retired police officer Tim Eggebraaten, who will once again be the emcee for this fun event. He is a great entertainer and everyone enjoys his wit and music. 

During the evening there will be other entertainment by the Linebenders. They performed in Oklee on February 24, 2014..

The Linebenders have been performing from coast to coast since 2001 and features a cast of characters you might recognized from TV, Radio, Film and right next door. Come ready to laugh and enjoy a fun night out with The LineBenders! – the improv professionals.

The meal is a Fish Fry, tickets sold separately at various business's around town, the price is $15.00. Only 350 meal tickets are for sale, so if you want to partake in the meal, purchase them soon.

This year you can purchase raffle tickets separately which includes some pretty nice prizes is also available at local business and costs $5.00. Prizes include: 1st) Legacy Pointer 12 gauge Over-Under; 2nd) Samsung 50” Smart TV; 3rd $75 Oklee Lumber certificate; 4th) $75 D&R grocery certificate; and 5th) $75 Red lake County Coop certificate. Only 600 tickets have been printed for this raffle. Drawing will be held at the  Oklee Community Hall at 10 p.m.
