Firemen's Blizzard Bonanza again a success!

A nice warm February 19th evening brought a large crowd into the Oklee Firemen's Blizzard Bonanza for a delicious Walleye Fish dinner and great entertainment.
During the social time which started at 5:30 p.m. and the meal that started at 6 p.m., Tim Eggebraaten entertained with his fun style of music and announcing the many meat and gun raffles throughout the evening.
At 8:30 p.m. the Linebenders, an improv group from the Fargo, ND area came on stage to begin their show. J.J. Gordon introduced the Linebender team of comics and the show began with a skit using the words that they had the audience write down earlier in the evening on yellow pieces of paper. During the skit, they would look at a yellow slip of paper and try to work it into their skit, making for a hilarious turn in the story.
Other skits included members from the audience. Sandra Tougas and Hunter Lundeen were the hands for two of the Linebenders (JJ & Tim) as they did a skit about a toenail collection, Hunter Dudycha and John Dudycha were in a skit where drinking at work was the subject of a presentation and when JJ said click, all the rest of the Linebender troop along with Hunter and John would stop in place, sometimes in precarious and funny positions.
The Linebenders are very good at including the audience into their skits using their ideas and thoughts.
Winners of the Blizzard Bonanza Raffle were: 1st place: Robyn Morinville-Legacy Pointer 12 gauge; 2nd place: Vic Schiefert-50" Samsung TV; 3rd place:  Andrea Larson-$75 certificate Oklee Lumber; 4th place: John Dudycha-$75 certificate D & R Grocery, and 5th place: Jordan Rondorf - $75 certificate  Red Lake County  Cooperative.
