Come celebrate & honor Cancer survivors & caregivers!

The amazing support from the Red Lake County communities has allowed the American Cancer Society to fund its mission of not only saving lives but helping to improve them.  In 2013 alone, residents of Red Lake County accessed 66 services through the American Cancer Society’s patient programs and received support when they needed it the most.  Some of these services included lodging for patients and caregivers during treatment, wigs and other physical appearance items, individualized support programs and other referral services.  

This year’s Relay For Life is taking a different spin, the dollars raised in Red Lake County continue to be used to offer services to cancer patients in the community, fund cancer research, educate people on the prevention and early detection of cancer, and to ensure that our elected officials make cancer a legislative priority.  Your contribution is important as ever.  

We also invite you and all community members to come together on Friday, May 29th from 5-6pm at the Oklee Community Center for a short program, followed by cake and coffee.  We hope you will join us as we CELEBRATE our cancer Survivors, REMEMBER loved ones lost to the disease and FIGHT BACK against cancer!  Thank you again to all of the amazing volunteers, community and county members.  It is only because of you that we are able to fight back against cancer.  If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Taylor Hanson, Community Manager at 218.779.5279 or taylor.hanson@cancer.org
