Over ten years ago, it was decided to change the dress code for just one day a week at Security State Bank and Security State Agency of Oklee. The employees of the Bank and Agency have since had the option of wearing jeans and casual clothing on Fridays. However, the privilege isn’t free. Part of the agreement was that the employees pay $1.00 for each Friday they dress casually.
So what is the money collected used for? The employees all get to put a name on the list and then they have to vote on it. In past years the Red Lake County Relay for Life, the RLCC Youth Wrestling, Mikayla Morinville and many others groups have benefited.
The money collected is donated to a place that all the employees agree on. This year the money was split. Half of the money was given to the Oklee Ambulance Service and the other half was given to the Youth Basketball Program.
