Academic Awards Banquet

Red Lake County Central High School had their 25th Annual Academic Awards Banquet on April 8, 2019. The senior high students that attend have maintained a 3.5 GPA in their core classes, which are English, Science, Math, and Social Studies. They needed to maintain this GPA throughout the first three quarters of the current school year. They were presented with medals recognizing their achievement.
The Academic Honorees from each class were:
Seniors: Jarisa Bailey, Julia Bernstein, Jocelyn Castaneda, Andrew Fish, Sydnie Gunderson, Marie Johnson, and Connor Lambert.
Juniors: Zachary Benson, Calyssa Eskeli, Lily Guillemette, Chris Longtin, Jenna Pahlen, Derek Peterson, and Abby Walton.
Sophomores: Kia Bachand, Adriel Bakken, Daniel Guillemette, Emily Kolstoe, Karena Melby, Janae Olson, Annika Senum, and Katelyn Suchy.
Freshmen: Cari Bachand, Zachary Cater, Tyler Eskeli, Peyton Fish, Taya Morinville, Kjerstin Nelson, Leah Peterson, Jonathan Roue, Bailey Sherman, Steven Sogla, and Halie Thompson.
Students in the eighth grade that have also maintained a 3.5 GPA in the core classes during the first three quarters were asked to serve at the event. The waiters and waitresses were Damon Ferguson, Carson Lambert, Natalie Lindemoen, Shawna Majeres, Aurora Mitzner, Aurimy Olson, Marin Peterson, Gunnar Sandeen, Lucille Svendsen, and Natalie Vettleson.
Senior Awards were handed out for Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. The winner for the Math award was Andrew Fish. The winner for the Science was Connor Lambert. The winner for Social Studies was Marie Johnson. The winner for English was Sydnie Gunderson.
