4-H Project Bowl Team

On March 16, 2019, the Pennington/Red Lake County 4-H Junior Poultry Project Bowl Team competed at the Northern Regional contest held in Deer River. The Junior Poultry team which consisted of Rylan Torstveit and Brianne Ellison of Pennington County and Hailey Hanson of Red Lake County took first place. The Pennington/Red Lake Junior Poultry Team will now participate in the State contest held in Sauk Rapids on April 6th.  Project Bowl is the second most attended 4-H event of the year, second only to the State Fair! Patterned after the golden-oldie television show College Bowl, 4-H Project Bowls challenge teams of 3-6 youth on their knowledge of these 4-H areas: Dairy, dog, general livestock (beef, swine, sheep, meat goat), horse, lama, poultry, rabbit and wildlife.
