The Marshall County Relay for Life will be next Friday, June 3rd, at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in Warren. During a Relay event, people lost to cancer are remembered; people who have fought or are fighting cancer are honored; survivors celebrate.

The VFW Auxiliary recently hosted a Grygla Elementary Poppy Poster contest. Judges awarded the 1st-6th grade winners with cash prizes.
The poppy is the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Memorial Day will be observed on May 30th, 2016.

The Grygla 5th grade class held their graduation from the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program last week, which was taught by Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Angie Brekke. The students are taking with them the skills needed to make safe and responsible choices.

Goodridge 6th graders went on their class trip May 9-11th. They visited many historical sites around Minneapolis/St. Paul and also had some fun at a Twins game and Nickelodeon Universe.

The Iron Chargers Robotics team, not only lost 7 matches at the world competition, placing them 85 out of 100, but they are also losing three seniors this year; Dustin Nelson, McKayla Vad and Kelly Dougherty.
