James Lowell Bagne

October 4, 1958 – December 8, 2021

James L. Bagne (63) passed away on December 8, 2021 due to complications of pneumonia at Essentia Health Hospital, Fargo, N.D.

Jim was born in Fosston, MN to Arthur (Snook) and Ruth Bagne. He grew up in Gonvick, MN, where he attending schools, graduating in 1977.  He was Baptized and Confirmed at Samhold Lutheran Church. 

Jim was an excellent athlete and loved playing with his brother Bob and friends in baseball, football and basketball.  Jim loved the outdoors including deer hunting, fishing, Harley rides and camping adventures with his friends who were like family to him.  Jim was blessed to take over the family home in Gonvick where he built a pole barn to handle his two pickups and the toys he enjoyed so much. 

Jim worked his whole professional career as a heavy equipment machine operator for many different companies until his retirement in 2015.  He started his career the summer of 1977 working for Northern Pipeline and in 1985 was made foremen.  During his career Jim also worked for Murphy Bros., Schmid Pipline, MN Limited, Precision Pipe Line and Michael's.

Jim was a compassionate person who was always there to help family, friends and even strangers when they were in need.   

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Arthur Bagne and step dad Helmer Hanson.   He is survived by sister; JoAnn Hanson (Glenn), Children; Lisa Baker (Brett), Brenda Hill (Eric) and Laura Moore (Bob ), brother; Bob Bagne (Laura), Children: Brady Bagne (Cassie) and step brother; Dale Hanson (LuAnn), his favorite Aunts Karen Vogh and Betty Sorenson and many great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that Jim considered like family.
