$500,000 grant awarded to City of Clearbrook

The City of Clearbrook has been awarded a $500,00 grant to build a new multi-purpose Community Resource Center, through a Minnesota Department of Education grant program. This grant program is designed to support Community Revitalization, Connectedness and Equity by Promoting Education, Work and Health in Clearbrook and Clearwater County. This grant program is made possible through American Rescue Plan Funding dollars. The new building will be located on the SE corner of Third Avenue and Elm Street in Clearbrook. The new building will be constructed in 2026. The City of Clearbrook is currently working through design, building requirements and the coordination of the larger project. As a new community project, the city has formed a New Building Committee and would like to extend an invitation to any residents that have an interest in being a part of this committee. This project also has a personnel requirement for a Construction Project Manager, and the City of Clearbrook is currently looking for interested candidates. This is a temporary position for 12 months, beginning in Jan 2026. It is a part time position with a modest stipend and no benefits.
