Clearbrook City Council meeting held May 12

The Clearbrook City council met on Monday, May 12 for their regular meeting.
Minutes of the April 14 and 30 meetings were approved.
Steve Emery with Widseth was present with an update on the water plant. It went on line last week. They will have additional training to run the new system. They have landscaping and the drive way to finish. They will need a generator to use because the one ordered for the project won't be here until June.
The Bonding company has met on the water tower project. KLM Engineering will be in to complete the inspection. What work is remaining and what are the deficiencies that have to be addressed. the tower would be drained for that purpose. Hope to get a potential contractor to be able to complete the project by the end of summer. Onyx Blasting and Coating LLC was not able to complete the project.
Dale Volstad, Council member, addressed the street issues that has not been completed by Reierson and Company. It has been over a year with the work not complete. Some action has to be taken by the city.
Ryan Solee, Police chief gave his report with 26 records. They included 911 Hang UP 1; Animal Related 2; Burglary 1; Civil Complaint 1; Court Order Violation 1; Domestic 2; Fire 1;, Fraud 1; Harassment 1; Information Only 1; Juvenile Misc. 5; Medical 1; Noise Complaint 1; Predatory Offender Registration 2; Runaway 1; Traffic Stop 3.
Adam Krog, Clearbrook Fire Chief had 12 calls in April. They included Medical 6; Meeting 1; Cancelled in route: Medical 1, Structure Fire 1; Training 1; Structure Fire 1; False Alarm structure fire 1.
The annual Fish Fry Fundraiser that was held was successful with a lot of good feedback. They want to thank the community for their continued support. The three winners of $100 were Marlin Olson, Gretta Whealy and Woody Lundmark.
The Municipal Liquor Store report had $12,809.92 profit for the month. June has two wedding dances and the all school reunion.
Utilities and Maintenance Mark and Nick were asked about the blight issue. The council would like to have properties cleaned up for the All-School Reunion.
They have been running tests on the iron and manganese and they have been coming out great. Tommy Lewis will be working on getting the electrical up and going in the camp ground and the bath houses ready for the All School Reunion.
More patching will have to be done by the creek. The gas meters were put in 1997 and 3/4 of them will have to be replaced in the near future. The council decided to raise the rate for gas each month. The residential went up 30% or $2.00 per month.
City Clerk Lucie Thompson had pay application #11 for Rubin Construction at $245,796.00 which the council approved.
The pool is scheduled a June 2 opener. Some life guards are finishing their training before they can start.
Building permit 2025-03 was granted to Alexander Yocum to replace five windows and two doors at his residence which was granted.
Resolution 2025-10 for donations for April were Approved. The Clearbrook-Gonvick All -School Reunion Bingo brought in $1,246.00 for the event.
Resolution 2025-11 for Pool Rates was approved. They were the same as last year with Day sessions coat at $5.00 for adults and students and $3.00 preschool Evening sessions cost $3.00 for adult and students and $2.00 for preschool. Water Walking cost is $3.00 for adults. Pool Membership fess is $125.00 for family membership and $75.00 for single membership.
Monthly claims were approved with $74,157.88 and additional claims of $301,612.31.
